The Fabulous Birdie's Room Layaway Option


LAYAWAY is available on all items at Birdie's Room. This can be a handy option for a variety of reasons, and so easy to apply to your order.

Step 1 - Browse our impressive selection of goods.

Step 2 - When you find something that you are happy with, add it to your virtual shopping bag.

Step 3 - When you think you have shopped enough, view your cart and begin the checkout process.

Step 4 - During the checkout process, on the first page, you will notice a spot to enter a coupon code LAYAWAY20. By entering the code, the cart will calculate 20% of your order total which will then act as your deposit and reserve your order.

Step 5 - Follow the prompts to complete your order.

Enter code LAYAWAY20 to place a 20% deposit on any order.

What Happens Next?

Once we receive your order, we carefully pull your requested items from our warehouse shelves and very carefully stash them on our RED LAYAWAY shelf. There your items will remain until you are ready for them. In the meantime, you will receive a very friendly email with an invoice attached which will clearly show what you have ordered, how much you have paid to date, and how much is still owing.

How to Make a Payment

When you are ready to make a payment, this can be done in two ways:

1. By sending funds through Paypal to: We accept payments through Paypal in CAD and USD. To avoid having your payment refunded, please ensure all payments are made in the same currency in which you sent the down-payment in, as we cannot accept multiple currencies per one invoice.  Please kindly note the invoice number in the 'notes' section before completing payment. 

2. By calling our office with your credit card details. Our system does not hold onto credit card info at time of purchase, therefore, if you are wanting to make a payment via credit card, we ask that you call in with the details on your card so we can make the payment for you. All payments will be charged in Canadian Dollars. 

Once a payment has been received, we will apply it to your invoice and send you the updated invoice with new balance owing. 

The Fine Print - Short and Sweet

  • All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please know that this is not to be mean. It takes quite a bit of effort to hold items for a given time, and to prepare the paperwork associated. We hope that you will appreciate that with layaway orders, we are very specifically holding items aside, so please be sure that this is the item for you. You surely have great taste so no need to doubt oneself!
  • Given all of the fees incurred by sending funds (especially through Paypal!), we ask that funds be sent in increments of NO LESS THAN $50 CAD.
  • No more than 4 items are allowed on layaway at one-time.
  • We ask that the balance be paid within 60 days of receipt of deposit. We do feel that this is a generous time period, but please contact us if something pops up and you need just a little bit more time.
  • Our standard shipping rates apply to layaway orders.
  • We do charge shipping on all layaway orders. However, if the order is paid off within 30 days, we are happy to refund the charge.
